Experience
We at Wilkinson Electrical Services, have been involved with many different types of electrical installation and properties, and the electrical maintenance of them. We have rewired many flats, houses, shops & offices, and had to rectify electrical faults as they occured in many old and new  properties. We have undertaken electrical installation & maintenance work, and periodic electrical inspections of properties for landlords, estate agents, commercial properties and private owners.
 
We are part P registered and are able to complete electrical work of all types, and conduct periodic test & inspections of any type of property. We are a member of the National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers, and also have indemnity and public liability insurance, should you ever need to make a claim against us. It has been said many times, but you do not need to use an NICEIC company only. To do any electrical work or certificate jobs, you only have to use a registered member of a part P scheme to complete notifiable electrical work, or any other types of electrical work.
 
Call-outs
Many electrical companys advertise or say they offer a 24 hour service, but in reality most do not turn out when required. If they do turn up on an after hours call-out, they charge high fee's even if they cannot rectify the problem. We at Wilkinson Electrical Services, offer a 24 hour electrical service 365 days a year, offering the same rates at all times. Whatever the day, night or bank holiday, you will always be charged the same rates, and we give discounts if all our terms & conditions are met at all times.
 
Most electrical faults are rectified within an hour, usually an RCD or MCB tripped due to a blown bulb, or loose wiring or a faulty appliance. Older installations have the usual problems, such as old fittings, switches and sockets that become faulty, but again can be fixed very quickly. Obviously there can be dangerous or more involved faults in old and new properties, but experience and knowledge of installations can rectify these problems quickly. In many cases most call-outs can be cured very quickly, all a tenant wants to know is, will someone turn up and fix the problem as soon as possible.

Many tenants wait for weeks or months rather than hours or days for faults to be rectified, which can be for many reasons. By giving your good tenants a good service, they will be alot happier and will remain good loyal tenants. Tenants get very angry when contractors take ages to turn up, and if they don't turn up on the day the fault occured. From experience many contractors do not always get the full information on the job or problem, this means we turn up with the wrong materials or are advised wrongly on an address, date or time to call. One way to please each and every tenant, is to at the very least turn up on the day of the fault. This will show the tenant things are being done, and will take the pressure off you the landlord.
 
Many tenants do not have a contact number for an out of hours service, from landlords or estate agents or if they do they get no response. Tenants are alot happier when they get someone to come on the day of the fault, especially if its an easy fault that can be cured very quickly. We have met tenants who have waited from a Friday night to a Monday morning, just to have a tripped MCB turned back on. They have not been happy knowing it was such an easy fault to rectify, especially when they lost a freezer full of food, which will cost a fortune to replace and they had takeaways for 3 days.
